Valiant Alumni is a private community platform operated by Valiant Living for graduates of the Valiant Living recovery program, their families, and staff. We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (encrypted). Optionally, you may provide a sobriety date, phone number, profile photo, bio, and location. We also collect information you voluntarily share through posts, comments, messages, and group participation.
We use your information to provide and improve the Valiant Alumni platform, including: authenticating your account, displaying your profile to other community members, delivering notifications and daily encouragements, tracking course progress and milestones, processing merch store orders and support subscriptions, and connecting you with community resources when requested through the help feature.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your profile information is visible to other authenticated members of the Valiant Alumni community. Private messages are only visible to the sender and recipient. When you use the help button, your contact information is shared only with a small number of community responders.
We use the following third-party services: Stripe for payment processing, Railway for hosting, and web push notification services. These services have their own privacy policies.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard hashing. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account by contacting an administrator.
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your profile settings or by contacting an administrator. You may opt out of push notifications through your device settings.
Valiant Alumni is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
